SafeCrete provides natural and synthetic coatings especially formulated for AAC.  All of these products are real masonry stucco, over real masonry walls. A SafeCrete building finished with stucco has tremendous advantages over the common stucco-over-foam system frequently used in the U.S.  These stucco products bond with SafeCrete, becoming a single unit that does not allow moisture penetration and will not peel or disintegrate. Stucco over aerated concrete is extremely durable, low-maintenance and non-toxic. Buildings constructed in this manner are virtually impervious to termites.

Base Coat
SafeCrete Base Coat is formulated with excellent performance properties for a structure that breathes, yet resists moisture invasion.  Even wind driven rain does not penetrate this material.  Finish with Olde World Stucco or Acrylic Finish.  For a cheap, serviceable finish, you can paint this product with a breathable paint.  No minimum order.  Mix with water on site.

Olde World Stucco
For a traditional European appearance, apply 1/8" Olde World Stucco over 5/16” Base Coat. Olde World Stucco gives that slightly mottled coloration reminiscent of an old world village.  The stucco will streak when wet, and dry at uneven rates.  A variety of textures can be achieved, limited only to the skill of the applicator.  Over time, the color will gradually deepen.  This product is generally applied with a trowel.  Please call us to request a standard color chart.

Acrylic Finish
For uniform coloration, choose Acrylic Finish color matched to your specification.  Acrylic Finish creates a more modern look without streaking or color variation.  The same textures may be achieved with this product.  It goes on thinner than the Olde World Stucco, and provides a harder barrier.  Acrylic Finish is usually applied with a trowel, but can be sprayed on with a hopper.  This product is premixed and arrives in 5-gallon buckets. Colors are custom matched, or select from our chart.

Interior Base Coat
Apply this plaster product directly to the inside of SafeCrete AAC walls, and skip the sheetrock step altogether!  Thickness is generally 3/16 inch.  Add texture with sheetrock mud, or finish with veneer plaster for a smooth-as-glass appearance.  Paint to achieve color choice.  More durable and water resistant than sheetrock.  Mix with water on site.
