Anchoring steel and
wooden doors to AAC
Steel Door Frame
Use frame wire ties laid in mortar bed to anchor steel door frame to AAC wall as shown in the illustration. Any gaps between frame and AAC should be filled with mortar to eliminate cavities.
Wooden Door Frame
Use galvanized straps and galvanized screws or galvanized nails to anchor wooden door frame to AAC wall.
