SafeCrete supplies mortar and patch products specifically formulated for use with AAC.  Thinset mortar is used for installing SafeCrete blocks and lintels.  It comes in ready-to-mix powder form.  SafeCrete thinset mortar is polymer modified Portland cement specifically designed to bond our blocks for interior and exterior wall construction.  Just 1/8 inch mortar bed is needed to adhere the products.  This extremely thin joint prevents heat loss and speeds installation.  For best results, apply SafeCrete thinset mortar with our notched trowel.  Choose a trowel the same width as the block.

Block patch is used to repair walls where cuts have been made to install wiring or plumbing, or where breakage has occurred.  Thin-bed mortar thickened with SafeCrete dust will also work for this purpose, but many builders find it convenient to have packaged block patch on hand.  Use this product prior to application of exterior or interior plasters.  When covering SafeCrete with sheetrock or other sheathing materials.  In some cases, block patch may not be necessary.
