Long-Lasting The ancient Romans developed a highly
sophisticated type of concrete that has withstood the test of
time for nearly two thousand years. They used the volcanic ash pozzolan
for its chemical reactivity. The silica bases in today's AAC closely
emulate their techniques.
AAC is not vulnerable
to weather damage as many other building products are. This means it
will not rot or deteriorate over time, thus giving you increased value
for your investment.
How long will an ACC
structure last? We think indefinitely, but we can't prove that
for sure. AAC has only been around since 1923 so there are hardly any
homes over 80 years old. But we can look at the scientific aspects of
the material and the way it has performed thus far throughout its
history and predict that homes made from ACC will last for hundreds of
years.
